Emergency mobile tyre fitting across Northampton
Duston sits one side, Weston Favell the other, Wootton and Far Cotton are a proper drive apart, and the A45 stitches the lot together while the M1 runs past at junctions 15 and 16. That geography is why a tyre failure is such a nuisance here. Whatever is nearest to you probably is not near at all, and the car is the thing that got you between those places.
We deal with that by not asking the car to travel. The van is the workshop: tyre machine, balancer, air line, work lamps and stock in common car, SUV and 4x4 sizes. We arrive at the address or the lay by, take the wheel off, strip the damaged tyre off the rim, mount and balance the new one, set the pressures and drive the old away. The job is complete when we pull off, whether that is a driveway in Kingsthorpe or a side road off the A43.
With children or an older passenger in the car, waiting is the problem, not the tyre. Two hours on a verge with someone who needs a toilet or a coat is a genuinely bad afternoon, and it is the reason a live ETA matters more than a promise. One call and a technician is on the way to the exact spot in Northampton, with the replacement already loaded, and you know when he will be there rather than hoping. Stopped in town or out on an unlit stretch, the response is the same. Typical arrival is 30 to 60 minutes, day or night.

Local knowledge across Northampton
The distances between Wootton, Weston Favell and the town centre are what make a tow expensive and a garage trip a whole afternoon. Finishing the job at the kerb sidesteps both. There is no recovery truck to wait for on the A508, no drive on a damaged tyre hoping it holds, and nothing left to collect the next day, because the wheel is stripped, fitted, balanced and back on the car before we leave.
Typical emergency mobile tyre fitting jobs in Northampton
Driveway job in Abington
A car on a driveway in Abington had a tyre down to the cords and an owner who did not fancy driving it anywhere. Wheel off on the drive, new tyre mounted and balanced, old one into the van.
Pulled off the A45
A driver who picked up serious damage on the A45 stopped in the first safe place they could find. We met them there, fitted a matching replacement and balanced it before they rejoined.
Two tyres in Duston
A car in Duston needed a pair replaced across the same axle. Both were done on the street in one visit, each wheel balanced individually and the pressures checked all round.

Emergency Mobile Tyre Fitting in Northampton, FAQs
Typically 30 to 60 minutes. Say which side of town the car is on, Duston or Weston Favell for instance, and you get a live ETA once the van sets off.
The common car, SUV and 4x4 sizes are on the van. For anything less usual, read the full size code off the sidewall down the phone and we will confirm what we can bring.
A driveway is ideal, as long as the ground is firm and level enough to jack on safely. Street, driveway or car park all work as far as the equipment is concerned.
Yes. It leaves on a properly mounted and balanced wheel torqued to spec, with the pressures set, not on a space saver or a temporary plug.
Card and contactless are both taken at the car, so there is no need to find cash before we arrive.
