What these photographs show

These are working photographs taken on real jobs, not stock images. Look past the cars and you can see how the service actually runs: the wheel balancer bolted inside the van, new tyres stood on the pavement with their EU labels still on, an air jack under a Range Rover sill, a trolley jack on a terraced street, and a wheel change carried out in an underground car park.

The van is the workshop

Every frame with an open side door shows the same thing: the tyre machine, the balancer, the air line and the stock all travel with the fitter. That is why a job photographed on a driveway at the weekend and one photographed outside an office at night look so alike. The equipment does not change with the location, so neither does the standard of the work, and a fitting is normally finished 20 to 30 minutes after the van pulls up.

Some of the cars look expensive

Supercars photograph well, so a few have ended up in here. The service behind them is exactly the one a family hatchback with a nail in the tread gets, or a work van that cannot sit off the road for a day: the wheel face is protected, the bead is seated properly and the wheel is balanced before it goes back on. The care taken over a Bentley alloy is the same care taken over a steel wheel.
