Emergency Tyre Replacement in Catford
Tread depth is only one of the things that make a tyre legal.
Mobile emergency tyre replacement across Catford
A cut deep enough to show cords, a lump anywhere in the wall, or rubber of the wrong size for the axle each fail on their own, whatever the gauge reads. That is why the answer to some punctures is not a repair at any price. When a tyre has lost its structure the only fix is another tyre, and if the car is needed the same day, it needs to happen where the car already is rather than at the end of a tow.
In practice that starts with the size off the sidewall, read out while you are on the phone, so the right tyre is on the van before it leaves. It is mounted at the kerb, balanced, wound up to the maker's torque figure, and the ruined casing goes away with us rather than sitting in a front garden off Rushey Green until the council collects it.
It might be a tyre that let go on the way home and is now sat on a driveway in Southend, or one you have finally looked at properly and found worn past the limit with an early start tomorrow. Either way there is no waiting involved: we bring the correct size out, fit and balance it where the car is parked, on Rushey Green or on the drive, and set the pressures before we go. That is the whole difference between a car that is off the road and one that is legal again the same evening. We work across Greater London round the clock, and the other tyres get checked while we are with you.

Local knowledge across Catford
Catford sits where several busy routes meet, so a car with a destroyed tyre is often stuck somewhere it really cannot stay. We fit at the roadside, on a drive off Bromley Road, or in a car park near the Broadway, and every wheel is balanced before we pack up. Payment is by card or contactless at the kerb.
Typical emergency tyre replacement jobs in Catford
Bulge spotted while loading the car
A lump on the sidewall noticed before a weekend away means the cords underneath have already broken. It cannot be repaired and should not be driven to a garage, so the replacement came to the drive in Hither Green and the bags went back in the boot.
Kerbed hard at the gyratory
Squeezing wide round the junction, a driver caught the kerb square on and split the sidewall open. There is no repair for a wall, so the choice made itself. Fitted, balanced and torqued at the roadside within the hour.
One tyre, checked against three
We gauge the others before deciding anything. If the remaining rubber is healthy, one replacement is the honest answer. If a second is skating along near 1.6mm, you will hear that as information rather than as a sales pitch.

Excellent service. I am really impressed. Came within 20 minutes or so, put a new tyre on and balanced it.

5 star without a doubt! Called this morning with a complete flat tyre in N13 and within 30 minutes Abdul arrived and changed it. He also checked all 4 tyres and showed me one was completely bald and dangerous to drive.

Honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars! Last night after leaving Wembley we got a flat tyre, stranded 2 hours from home, and these guys got us back up and running. 10/10 service from start to finish, even at 1am!

Emergency Tyre Replacement in Catford, FAQs
All the major names sit somewhere on the range, from a sensible budget tyre through mid-range to premium. Tell us the car and the sort of mileage you do and the choice gets narrowed on the call, not on the doorstep.
Add recovery, a taxi and a day of your own time to the garage bill before you compare. The figure we give covers coming out and doing the work, and it is agreed before anything starts so you can weigh the two properly.
Yes, and on some cars it is the right call, particularly where a matched pair on an axle matters. We will explain when it applies rather than treating every job as a pair.
Two years of warranty comes with anything new we fit. Keep the paperwork somewhere sensible, since that is what you would need if a manufacturing fault ever showed up.
In our fitting van and off your street. Nobody needs a scrap tyre standing outside the house for a fortnight waiting for the council.
