Mobile 24-hour tyre callout across the M25 Corridor

Darkness makes a live carriageway considerably worse. You are harder to see, drivers coming up behind are reading your position later, and a hard shoulder that felt survivable at two in the afternoon is no place to stand at two in the morning. The order does not change and the urgency of it goes up: off the carriageway if the car will still steer, everyone out through the nearside doors and behind the barrier, then 999 or National Highways on 0300 123 5000 before us.

We answer and we turn out, every night of the year. The van that comes at three in the morning carries the same stock, the same balancer and the same fitter as the one at three in the afternoon, and it brings its own lighting rather than headlights. We work at the services, on a slip road, in a lay-by, in a car park or on your own driveway once recovery has moved the car.

If you are on the motorway right now

Leave at the next exit if the car still moves safely. If it does not, ring 999, or National Highways on 0300 123 5000, before you ring us. On a smart motorway there is often no hard shoulder, only emergency areas, and only they can close a lane. Get everyone out through the nearside doors and behind the barrier, and do not sit in the car. We are not permitted to work on a live carriageway or a hard shoulder and we will not pretend otherwise. We come to you once you are at a service area, on a slip road, at the next junction, in a lay-by off the carriageway, or at home after recovery.

Local knowledge across the M25 Corridor

The eastern side of the ring past Cheshunt and Brentwood keeps moving all night, and the A121 and the roads down towards Orpington are quiet enough that a stationary car takes people by surprise. That is why we hold the same line after dark as before it: off the carriageway, behind the barrier, National Highways first. Once the car is somewhere safe we will come out at any hour of any night.

Lane closure first, then the tyre

A rear went just after midnight on the eastern side. National Highways closed the lane and moved the car off at the next exit before anybody touched anything. We fitted there under our own lighting, and the job took less time than the wait for the closure.

Cheshunt, after the recovery truck left

A car was recovered off the motorway and left on a residential street at half past one. We fitted a replacement where it stood, balanced the wheel beside the car and set the pressures, and the driver made a seven o'clock start without rearranging the day.

An Orpington driveway before the alarm

A flat found late in the evening with a long drive booked for first thing. Rather than leave it, we came out that night and fitted on the driveway, so the morning started as planned instead of with a wheel brace and a space saver.

Honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars! Last night after leaving Wembley we got a flat tyre, stranded 2 hours from home, and these guys got us back up and running. 10/10 service from start to finish, even at 1am!

Was stuck on the M40. They came very quick and gave me a very good price, arriving within 25 minutes. Very glad I came across this company.

Great service, fast and available. My tyre is not one an ordinary garage has in stock, but they just went to get the tyre and replaced it on a Sunday. Recommend.

24-Hour Tyre Callout in the M25 Corridor, FAQs

It changes how much time you have. An empty carriageway means the traffic that is there is moving quickly and reading you late, so standing anywhere near a running lane is worse at that hour, not better. The advice hardens rather than relaxes: off the road, behind the barrier, and let National Highways deal with the lane.

Yes, every time. They are the only people who can close a lane or hold traffic, and an empty road at two in the morning still has vehicles on it doing seventy. Ring 999 or National Highways on 0300 123 5000 first, then us. We will already be moving while they are making the scene safe.

Not on a flat. Driving on one destroys the tyre and usually the wheel with it, and at night on an unfamiliar road it is a poor gamble. If you are already off the motorway and parked somewhere sensible, leave the car there and let us come to it. It is the same job to us either way.

Stay there. It is thoroughly unpleasant and it is still the right place to be. Ring 999 or National Highways again if nobody has reached you, tell them how long it has been and that there are people out of the vehicle, then ring us with an update so we can time our arrival to yours.

Partly because nothing else is open, and partly because that is when a problem which has been building all day finally arrives. A tyre losing pressure since the afternoon tends to give up on the last leg of the journey. The call that comes at four in the morning is usually about a car that was already wrong at four in the afternoon.
