24-Hour Tyre Callout in the M3 Corridor
The corridor does not empty at night, it just gets faster.
Mobile 24-hour tyre callout across the M3 Corridor
Darkness makes a live carriageway a great deal more dangerous rather than the same. A stopped car is much harder to pick out, traffic moves faster because the road looks clear, and drivers at that hour are more tired. So the order does not change and it matters more: ring 999 or National Highways on 0300 123 5000, get everyone out through the nearside doors and behind the barrier, and let them make the scene safe before anybody thinks about the tyre.
We answer and we turn out, every night of the year. Once you are off the motorway, or at a home address after recovery, we come to the car with our own lighting and fit or repair it there. Around Feltham, Ashford, Sunbury-on-Thames, Shepperton and Chertsey we are typically with you in 30 to 60 minutes. Further out it takes longer, and you get a real time on the call.
Leave at the next exit if the car still moves safely. If it does not, ring 999, or National Highways on 0300 123 5000, before you ring us. On a smart motorway there is often no hard shoulder, only emergency areas, and only they can close a lane. Get everyone out through the nearside doors and behind the barrier, and do not sit in the car. We are not permitted to work on a live carriageway or a hard shoulder and we will not pretend otherwise. We come to you once you are at a service area, on a slip road, at the next junction, in a lay-by off the carriageway, or at home after recovery.

Local knowledge across the M3 Corridor
Feltham, Ashford and the airport roads keep working when everything else has stopped, so a good share of our calls on this corridor land between midnight and six. The service does not change at that hour, but the road does. The M3 looks empty at three and the traffic on it is moving quickly, which is why the 999 call comes first and why we work on the car only once it is well clear of the motorway.
24-Hour Tyre Callout call-outs we handle in the M3 Corridor
A Feltham drive, found flat at two
A shift worker came out to a flat tyre with nothing open for six hours and a start time that was not going to move. We fitted on the driveway, balanced the wheel and set the pressures, and the shift went ahead as though nothing had happened at all.
Lit by our own lamps in Ashford
A car brought off the corridor was left at an address in Ashford in the early hours. Working under our own lighting rather than headlights, we fitted the replacement, checked the rim and set the pressures, and it was usable again before the household woke up.
An early flight, sorted overnight
The tyre went down the evening before a very early departure. Rather than leave it, we came out during the night, fitted a replacement, balanced the wheel and set the pressures, and the car left at the time it had always been going to leave.

24-Hour Tyre Callout in the M3 Corridor, FAQs
It does, and that is the danger in it. The road looks clear so the traffic that is there moves quickly, a stopped car is much harder to see, and drivers at that hour are tired. The 999 call matters more at night, not less. We will not work on a live carriageway or a hard shoulder whatever the hour.
It does. Airport traffic and freight keep it moving long after the garages have shut, and it is fast for an ordinary road. If a tyre has gone on the A30 at night, get well clear of the running lane before you stop, put the hazards on, and stand away from the car and away from the traffic. Then ring us.
Yes. A spot we would happily work in during daylight can be the wrong place at midnight if it is unlit and close to passing traffic. On a quiet Shepperton street it makes no odds at all. On anything busier we will ask you to move into a side road or a car park, and we would rather say so on the phone.
Whether the spot is lit, how close the traffic is, and whether you are able to stand somewhere away from the car. Those three answers decide whether we come straight to you or ask you to move first. The size off the sidewall matters as much as ever, and a photograph helps more at night than in daylight.
Two things. Look at the pressures cold within a day or so, because a night fit is set to the door plate figure and you want to know that number yourself. And if we have fitted a single new tyre, expect it to feel slightly different for the first few miles while the release agent wears off the tread.
