Get it out of the running lane before anything else, even if that means a short distance on the tyre. A side road, a gateway or a car park entrance will do. Once you are clear of the queue there is no hurry and no audience watching.
We would not. There is no lighting, the verges are soft and traffic across the heath moves quickly with poor sight lines. Stand well clear of the vehicle and wait rather than kneel down beside it in the dark with your back to the road.
Only for a small puncture in the tread, and only for a short distance at reduced speed. It does nothing for a split, a sidewall injury or a tyre off the bead, and it makes a proper repair harder and messier afterwards.
The road name plus the last landmark you passed is usually plenty. Ascot's roads are well signposted and familiar to us. A dropped pin from your phone is quicker still if you have signal where you have stopped.
No, and please do not drive it any further than you have to. What helps is the car sitting as far left as the ground allows with the hazards going, and everybody standing away from the road side of the vehicle.
