Come off at the next exit if the car is still steering straight and the tyre is not thumping. A warning light means air is leaving, and every mile costs you the repair even when it does not cost you the tyre. If the car has started pulling or vibrating, do not try to reach the junction at all.
A slow leak gives you the warning light and nothing else, and the car feels normal. A fast deflation you feel through the wheel: the steering goes heavy on one side, there is a rhythmic thump, and the car wants to wander. The first gives you a choice about where to stop. The second does not.
Often a tyre that is soft rather than flat, and a modern low profile tyre can be badly under inflated without looking it. It can also be uneven wear, a brake dragging or the alignment. Stop somewhere safe, check the pressures against the plate in the door shut, and if one is well down treat it as a puncture.
There are exits along that stretch, but the gaps are longer than they are nearer London, so the decision to come off has to be made sooner. Once you are off, a side road, a lay-by, a retail car park or the services are all places we can work. A slip road with traffic passing close is not.
