What the van actually carries
A mobile fitter is only as good as what is on board. Ours carry a tyre machine, a wheel balancer, an air line, their own lighting for night work, and the sizes that come up most often across London. That is why a job usually finishes on the first visit rather than turning into an order and a return.
Balancing matters more than people expect. A wheel that is not balanced after a tyre change vibrates through the steering at motorway speed and wears the new tyre unevenly. It is done on site, on the van, before the wheel goes back on.
When mobile is the better option, and when it is not
Mobile wins whenever the car cannot or should not be driven, whenever your time is worth more than the queue, and whenever the job is out of hours. It is the whole point of the service.
It is not the answer to everything. We do not do alignment, and if a wheel is buckled or an alloy is cracked, that needs a specialist rather than a new tyre on a damaged rim. We will tell you that on site rather than fit around it.
